Next doll made -"love you " is a cloth and clay original with a little glass tile holding my favorite accessory....a little owl! I hand dyed the muslin - was for skin tone but ended up too peachy but looks great as clothing luckily! She has her head tilted down - which is a hard angle to capture in a photo. I hope you like her.

She dreamed....

I have been busy with some new dolls - here is the first one
"she dreamed"....... She is a cloth and clay original with hand patterned silk and muslin clothes and a little coloured glass tile I made up with the words she dreamed embedded in it. I love her softness of colour ... a nice change for me.! hope you enjoy her too.

Collage background class

and yes, there is going to be  a Collage backgrounds class as well at Redmill Studio/gallery the following weekend in March (18th). This will be a 1 day class and will also be fully catered and lots of fun. Hope to see you there.

Come and learn some simple and creative ways to make cloth/clay dolls in a fun 2 day workshop.
• All skill levels will be catered for.
• Basic sewing skills are required.
• Learn how to sculpt in air dry clay, paint a face and then create some original, hand altered costuming for your doll.
• I encourage you to use what you already have in your stash at home and a kit will be available to supply the clay, cloth and pattern for the body, medium and a pigma pen.
• Full requirement list will be provided with the kit ($30.00)
A fully catered, delicious lunch and morning tea/coffee are included for
both days… so you only have to concentrate on having fun!
