Akira comes to Fibreswest in Bunbury

A couple of photos of some of the wonderful dolls made in class - not all finished yet but well on the way. Such variety and imagination.......cloth dolls are for the free spirited people who quietly (not always Rhonda!) work away at creating a moment in time.

seagull hunter

This is my newest doll - "seagull hunter"created in a workshop with the wonderful Akira Blount. What a great week we had - sharing, creating, laughing and eating. Thank you Akira and all the wonderful ladies I had the pleasure of sharing time with. You are all an inspiration.

The Seagull Hunter

...not seeking to harm,
just making sure the messages coming back were all good ones.......because we all could use a little filtering from life sometimes!

The seagull is associated with Lir, a Sea-God in Celtic lore. Like many birds, the seagull flies between the earth and the heavenworld, bringing messages to mortals.

a hug a day...

At last ...some dolls to share.
This latest trio are cloth with clay heads and are dressed in silk with a heavily treated textile panel that originated from a photo I had taken of a pine cone. They of course have their little Owl friends with them. I hope to sell these little ladies so I hope they appeal - would love your feedback.

AU$150.00 plus postage.

Izzy

My latest painting...much bigger scale than I have worked on before - and a split canvas made a few challenges - but I had fun. Hope you enjoy it.
