ASPIRE

this is a work to personify the woman I have used as my muse for my last series of paintings. She was in an early black and white photo with that classic non smiling portrait and I just fell in love with her eyes. Not a classic beauty but I love her demeanour.

Liberty

this is my newest painting - I hope my USA friends like my rendition of a wonderful monument and the place they hold in my heart.

Still some spaces left in New York classes if you hurry...

Painted Portrait and Collage on Canvas
One day Workshop;
September 18, 2013      9AM- 4PM
This is a fun 1 day workshop that will give students some skills and confidence to take some of their creative passion out on a canvas!
I work with both paper and material as well as stamps, stencils, buttons, threads, paints and whatever embellishments that can be either glued or stitched in place! and we apply all this to the canvas. This is why it is such a good crossover class to do...all you will probably need to buy is the canvas!

Size of works are based on a very portable 10"x12" framed canvas.

Cloth and Clay doll workshop

Come and join Rocheen and myself for another fun 2 day workshop at the RedMill Store Studio.
We will be making this doll "I know my hair is messy but don't judge me, underneath I really am a princess"
She is a wonderful combination of Cloth and paperclay and you will learn how to sculpt her face as well as those delicate fingers and toes! Then we play with altering fabric and painting her face.
Basic sewing skills required...but more importantly is a desire to create and have fun in a friendly, creative environment right here in Bunbury.
Workshop is spread over 2 weekends ...what a great mothers day present!!!( know you know what to say when you are asked what you want!)...and includes a beautiful lunch both days and delicious cake...I know, what more could you want and all for only $160.00

Come join us on Sat May 11th and 18th. Call Rocheen on 040530656
or Linda on 0419597090 and make your booking soon.

"through the fog"

My latest painting....many layers.
Clearing away the last of 2012 and breaking through the fog.
Art is an expression of what we do in this world and no matter how it ends up, there is a journey to go on for the artist.....and hopefully for the viewer. xxx
