Brink

FINALLY,
a new doll. I am so excited to have finished her - well nearly. Still a bit of tweaking to do and a different animal will eventually be in her hands.
It is one of those funny things about my life - often I wonder why I make dolls - BUT when I am making one, sculpting a face, drawing the features and seeing the spirit develop I KNOW WHY I am drawn to this type of art.

Thanks Nita and Barb. She has a doe suede body and paperclay face and lower legs - cheers, Linda.

Awesome work, Linda!! Really different and original. This steampunk thing is all the rage, and you incorporated it beautifully! Her face is just gorgeous, so painterly. How can you possibly wonder why you make dolls? It is our calling! :o)

Linda, your doll is fabulous! She truly is a free spirit. Love all the doo-dads, in laymans terms - gears and springs and clock faces. She must have been a blast to make. Love her!!

Hi Linda! I love Brink. Her face is so full of expression. She reminds me of the Mad Max films. You know where everything is post apocolyps and people wear bits and bobs of all kinds of things that they have found...
She is truly very good (and much prettier than Mel Gibson... Giggle!).

Brink is 100% fab! I so love her wings and all her little treasures! With her holding the owl along with all the wheels and gadgets it reminds me of the little owl on Clash of the Titans!
