Dream

This is Dream and I am going to attempt to make the doll to match!
The collage is the easy part - but I figure if painting her face on the collage is just like how I do my dolls faces then why shouldn't I be able to reverse the process!
I think getting the form of the body movement might be the harder part - so suggestions are welcomed!....please

Depending on how 3D you want your doll to be you could make a one piece form and sew lines for the shapes of the arms and wings then stuff them through slits (like trapunto). It would be a wall piece that way. You could make the head separately though. This way you could actually make it from plain muslin and paint it just like the collage!

Just found your blog and want to compliment you on your work. I am quite impressed by how it all comes together - so many different techniques to create a completed doll or collage.

Hi Linda is your collage paper or fabric another idea going on from judi's would be to cut out foam into the shape glue this on if it is a paper collage, cover this with fabric or papers like tissue and glue dyes etc I have done this when making my Turtle of this bumps in the shell.
Or felting and needle felting or silk paper shape this while drying
